Hosts

Dan Workman
Dan began his music career as a charter member of the seminal art/noise/rock band, Culturcide.  He leveraged his indie rock credentials and continued his work in the mainstream engineering some of Texas’ most notable artists: ZZ Top, Clay Walker, Destiny’s Child, and Beyonce.  Workman now produces full time, and is currently working with Kareem Salama, The Southern Backtones, South Park Mexican and is writing for Zenfilm.  He currently lives in The Heights, Houston with his wife Christi, daughter Joe Ann, two cats, and a family of raccoons who have learned how to sneak in the cat door.  When not making music, or spending time with his family, he rides very old motorcycles, very long distances.

Gina Miller
Gina Miller is the series producer and co-host of Live From SugarHill.  Her ability to connect stellar musical guests with an appealing ‘audience of one’ is one of many reasons she is an excellent curator for the show. Her goal for each episode is to create kaleidoscopic, innovative backdrops by pairing the sonically unexpected. Behind the scenes, she wields the velvet hammer to ensure each program runs more smoothly than the last. It’s no secret that she thoroughly enjoys her ghostly prowess while directing the show’s crew and guests.

In addition to her role at LFSH, she works as an advocate of Houston’s music and arts communities. She serves on the board of directors for Aurora Picture Show and volunteers with The Orange Show, Texas Folklife, Workshop Houston and Empty Bowls Houston. As promotions and marketing director of SugarHill Recording Studios, Miller helps to coordinate the Houston Music Makers Mixers and produce The SugarHill Sessions radio broadcast. She also serves on the board of governors for The Recording Academy® Texas Chapter as the local Membership chair and on the Education and Outreach committees where she lobbies for Performance Rights Act legislation.
